The 10rl100 controller

 

Current development is focused on the 10l80/10l90 transmission controller named "10rl100", this controller will then be developed to control the 10r60 and 10r80 ford transmissions (depending on feedback). During the development process information will be updated here, on the facebook GlaneTech page and on the homepage blog.

 

 

 Tuning of the controller is of the utmost importance and is the absolute main goal of this controller. Fortunately both Gm and Ford removed the TCM from inside of the transmission and ran an external controller, this gives unlimited control of the transmission from a stand-alone controller. Problems such as the 4r200 hub installation making only 3 gears usable due to factory PCM constraints could be solved with our controller due to having complete control over the transmission. Racing is also a large focus for this controller, the ability to create custom tuning parameters (such as custom torque management curves) is just as important as making sure the average hotrod guy can install this into his 69 camaro without a hitch.

 

 

Current feature list is as follows, this is still a work in progress so please bare in mind that this is subject to change.

 

  •  ISO 15765-4 CAN BUS standard 29bit header with fixed 8 byte payload and 11bit dashboard broadcasting.
    • Compatible with MS2 and MS3pro right out the box.
    • Holley canbus compatibility possible in the future, since they use a proprietary can protocol this would have to be a partnership.
    • Haltech not compatible at this time, but will be in the future since they have published there can protocols.
    • Most OEM manufactures that use ISO 15765-4 should be plug-and-play past 2008 as far as RPM,TPS,MAP, CLT and speedo goes.
  • tunable oncoming and offgoing clutch tables
  • continuous auto-tune and standstill clutch quick learn
  • live solenoid data, clutch apply index's and slip percentages.
    • included calculator for axle ratios, tire sizes and torque converter stall.
  • Optional closed loop main line pressure tuning (with external pressure transducer)
  • Trans brake
  • Burnout transmission gear limiter.
  • full manual mode
  • skip shift mode (light throttle and cruise)
  • Engine torque modeling with VE table importing from your favorite vendors (megasquirt, holley haltec etc) with power calculation conversions to start a basemap with.
  • Auxilary programmable VR input and digital inputs for almost any speed sensor.
  • Programmable Analog Output sensor- this could be used to drive digital speedometers or to interface with digital-to-analog speedo emulator motors to retain the original speedometers.
